Boréalis through the eyes of a child

In September 2015, Boréalis launched a drawing contest during a family event to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the museum. The theme was “Boréalis Inscribed in my history” and children had to draw a picture of what the museum represents to them. The picture of the contest winner was reproduced on a card by the artist Jean Beaulieu.

On the picture: Valérie Bourgeois, Director, Tristan Gélinas, contest winner, and Jean Beaulieu from Wow Imagine.

The judges chose Tristan Gélinas’ picture. The nine-year-old child drew a log driver standing on a floating log. The selection jury really liked this drawing because it depicted one of the main topics covered by the museum: log driving! The card is sold at the museum shop for $9.95.
